And surprise, surprise, it wasn’t positive. It is about a historian called Tom Holland who has written a book called “In the shadow of the sword: The battle for the global empire and the end of the ancient world.”
He has critically analysed Islam and the belief of Muslims. From saying that the sources that teach us about Mohamed sAllahu alayhi w salams life aren’t solid, that the Koran, like the Bible has evolved over time, he doesn’t think that Mecca can have been where the story of the Prophet sAllahu alayhi w salam was based and that hadiths were “attempts to codify the faith of an empire that was rapidly spreading from India to the Atlantic.”
Disappointing…one day I’ll open the paper and find something positive, inshaAllah.
